72 hour lockdown

At 10.30am on Monday 16 August 2021, the Chief Minister announced that the Greater Darwin and Katherine regions will enter a 72 hour lockdown from 12 midday, Monday 16 August 2021 until midday, Thursday 19 August 2021.

Schools and early childhood education and care services will be open for children of essential workers for next 72 hours in the Greater Darwin and Katherine region. 

The Chief Minister referred to the definition of essential workers is someone who delivers essential work and can not do this from home.
